Hayley Mermelstein has been practicing Chinese medicine for over 20 years. Her interest in Chinese Medicine began in 1987 when she met her Shiatsu teacher, Janet Murphy, while attending the University of Massachusetts. Hayley designed her own major and graduated with a degree in Shiatsu. Hayley then opened her Shiatsu practice in the town of Amherst were she maintained a thriving practice.
In 1997 Hayley began studying with Tom Tam. She was deeply influenced by Toms work as an acupuncturist and energy healer and apprenticed with Tom for five years.
In the year 2000, Hayley returned to school to formally study acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. She graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture and White Pine Healing Arts in 2003.
In addition, Hayley has also studied meditation for over 14 years with her teacher Ellen Tadd. Hayleys work and understanding of the healing process has been deeply influenced by her studies with Ellen.
In her desire to continue to learn and deepen as a healer, Hayley also recently graduated from Integrative Nutrition as a Health Counselor and Health Coach.
Currently, Hayley is an Acupuncturist, Shiatsu practitioner, Passionate Health Coach, Energy Healer and Meditation teacher. Hayley has been inspired over the last twenty years of her practice by the quote, All healing is becoming your true self. It is her desire that her work aid her clients (and herself) in the process of healing and in the process of becoming more fully themselves.
